Trekking in Veľká Fatra
Overview
The Veľká Fatra is a mountain range in the Western Carpathians. Belong to the most preserved mountain chains. The main characteristic features of this park are it´s wide meadows. The whole mountain chain has a high main ridge, which is divided into two crotches: Liptovská and Turčianska. The highest mountain is Ostredok. Other notable summits of the largest Veľká Fatra part are Krížna and Ploská. The western Turiec ridge includes for example Borišov and the eastern Liptov Ridge includes for example Rakytov.
